The Illinois Valley Food Pantry is happy to announce that 3,292 pounds of food was collected for the Pantry during the NALC "Stamp Out Hunger" food drive that took place on Saturday, May 13th, 2023! The Pantry also received $140.00 in monetary donations! Thank you to everyone in our community and across the country that donated to this annual food drive to help Pantries stock their shelves. Thank You to all of the postal workers who volunteered their time to go around picking up the food donations and delivering to the Pantries. Your generosity is greatly appreciated!! A very special Thank You to our local postal workers (especially Mark Zymunt!) Even as Mark was dealing with a recent death in his family, he still found the time to volunteer his services in many aspects with this food drive to help the Illinois Valley Food Pantry! Your kindness and support to our cause is always so very much appreciated!!! 🥰🥰🥰
THANK YOU KNIGHTS OF COLUMBUS # 792 LASALLE!!! The pork tenderloin fry that was held on February 4th, 2023 at the Knights of Columbus, LaSalle was a great success!!!! The event raised $1,421.00 for the Illinois Valley Food Pantry! A special thank you to George Green and his son Jake who coordinated and worked the event. Jake, your pork tenderloins were awesome!!!! A big thank you to everyone who attended and donated to the pantry. We are so grateful for everyone's support!!!! 🥰🥰🥰🥰🥰
PACK THE RACKS EVENT RESULTS!!! The "Pack The Racks" food drive was held on September 3rd, 2021 at HyVee and it was a huge success! The Illinois Valley food pantry received 2,132 pounds of food and non-food donations and $2,500 monetary donations. A big heartfelt THANK YOU! goes out to everyone that shopped at HyVee and donated that day! The pantry also extends their gratitude to the sponsors of the "Pack the Racks" event..... It gives me great sadness to inform everyone that the Illinois Valley Food Pantry board president's (Rose Marie Lynch) husband, Norm Clark has passed away. Norm was also the father of Scott Clark from Jake's Poorhouse. Please keep Rosie and her family in your prayers.
